Casa Mimosa, Isla Mujeres, Riviera Maya, Mexico

Amanda and Joe asked their nearest and dearest to come from New York and be a part of an intimate Destination Wedding in Mexico. They were engaged on the beaches of the Dominican Republic (in honor of Amanda's amazing heritage!) and chose the Riviera Maya and it's gorgeous waters as it offered great amenities! Their private villa, Casa Mimosa, was the perfect location for their destination wedding and the decided they wanted to invest a good portion of their budget on their wedding photography to make the most of bringing their memories to life!

They appreciated my approach to fun and said, "We really love how you capture these intimate moments with amazing lighting... the angles and framing are very creative and different. Beautiful sunsets as well!"

When asked about their hopes and desires for their Riviera Maya Destination Wedding, they said they wanted "Tropical and casual. Simple, fun, good food. Basically an intimate backyard BBQ but on an island in Mexico!"

When thinking about their photos around the house and the memories they loved the most photographically, they shared "We don't take ourselves too seriously and our fridge photos include affectionate and ridiculously stupid photos of us goofing around."

Armed with these things in mind, what transpired was a whirlwind adventure in love. Amanda couldn't decide on a dress, so she bought THREE! They said their I do's, traipsed through the waters, ran on the beaches, and danced in the sunlight. They were accompanied by about 25 of their most treasured humans and enjoyed the party well into the middle of the night!
