St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Wedding and Heritage Prairie Farm Reception, Chicago, IL

Aileen + John chose Chicago's historic St. Alphonsus Catholic Church built in 1882 for their ceremony after their Destination Wedding plans were put on hold. Not only is it a gorgeous dedication to the Catholic faith, but it's also visually stunning with its soaring central bell tower clad in weathered green copper. The Gothic-Revival interior features a royal blue ceiling with pointed arches and golden ribwork in starburst patterns. Their ceremony was intimate and attended by their nearest and dearest before heading out of town to Heritage Prairie Farm Reception in Elburn, Il. We made a pitstop in Lincoln Park for some portraits with the amazing Chicago City skyline as their backdrop. Their tented reception featured signature cocktails, community outdoor games, a fire pit with s'mores and a great cake topper honoring their beloved pup who couldn't attend their special day. For sure Jack, their adorably round toddler, was the one who really stole our hearts and the whole show!
